The success of our Y Programs is directly due to community support. Through your financial contributions, donations and time, you directly help people in our community. Donations Contribute online with our secure donation service Mail your donation to YMCA at VT, 403 Washington St. SW, Blacksburg, VA 24060 You may direct your gift to be included in one of the following: General Operating Fund Building Capital Campaign (for 1000 North Main St.) Y Endowment Fund The Y Building Capital Campaign is to support the purchase and renovations of 1000 North Main St., the new Y Center! As part of the Y Building Fund, we have the "1000 for 1000 Campaign". This is a special category that has a goal of having 1000 community members donate $1000 to renovate 1000 North Main. Gift of Time - Volunteer for the YMCA There are many exciting volunteer opportunities for both Virginia Tech students and community members. We have volunteer needs to match many interests and skills. Interested in Volunteering? Donations are accepted from 9am to 5:30pm Monday through Saturday. To schedule a pick-up, call 552-2633 for the Blacksburg Shop or 633-0746 for the Radford Shop. $25 Donation Scholarship for one Open U class Monthly hosting fee for the YMCA website Play-Doh for International Programs for one semester (all child care is free) $50 Donation Rental of a van to take After School Program children on one field trip Subscription to Chronicle of Philanthropy to assist with fundraising Printing of Hikes flyers for one season $100 Donation Refreshments for Wednesday “Mornings” programs for internationals Simple athletic equipment for After School Programs (balls, hackey-sacks, etc.) One weekly ad to promote YMCA Programs in “The Current” Gardening supplies for the Community Gardens $250 Donation Child care worker for International Programs (all child care is free for this program) Travel costs for one student’s Alternative Break trip ESL reading materials and workbooks for one year Purchase of one or two books for each After School Program child for them to keep Materials for one home repair project (all labor is volunteer) Food & drinks for Y Student Programs end of year celebration & awards ceremony	$500 Donation Healthy snacks for two after school programs for a year Work study student to assist with programs throughout the year Volunteerism & Group Work training (through the YMCA) for one staff member Membership to the YMCA of the USA for one year (mandatory) $1000 Donation Part-time arts teacher to teach arts to all children’s programs for 2 months One computer and software for YMCA Programs!
