Fall has to be one of the busiest times in Blacksburg: the students return, many programs get kicked into high gear, everyone is gearing up for football...For the Y, this is certainly holds true!
So, what's happening this fall?
- Welcome back students! We can't wait for you to get settled in and we'll start programs in early September. Tutoring, after school programs, alternative breaks, you name it and we probably have volunteer opportunitiesfor you! Students, stop by our office at 312 Squires.
- Welcome back students to the Thrift Shop. August 21 & 22, we'll hold our annual "Ytoss?" sale featuring items that are perfect for dorms & apartments. Stop by the Y Center (1000 North Main St.)
- The Stuart Room will open at the Y Center in early September. Keep your eyes open for announcments of our opening dance! This 2800 square foot room is going to be perfect for dances and special events. In the meantime, we still have lots of room for volunteers to help us get things finished.
- Gobblerfest on September 5th! Come visit the Y booth just outside of Donaldson-Brown.
- 5th Annual GIANT Book Sale at the Y Center on October 17-19. Over 10,000 books to choose from.
- 39th Annual Crafts Fair, November 7-9th. A great place for holiday shopping.
