Stories of Belonging: An Exhibition of Shared Humanity

This exhibit brings together personal stories transformed into artwork that celebrate welcome and belonging, and a community-created art piece that reflects our collective experiences. More than an exhibition, it is an invitation to gather, connect, and celebrate in a warm and inclusive space where everyone belongs.

Each of us carries unique narratives of hope, joy, resilience, loss, and transformation. These stories shape who we are, influence how we see the world, and connect us to one another. Through art, these experiences are expressed, honored, and shared, revealing both the richness of our differences and the common threads of our humanity.

Artists, community members, and visitors are invited to explore the exhibit, engage in meaningful conversations, and celebrate the power of storytelling to foster understanding, connection, and belonging. Together, we create a space where every story matters and every voice contributes to a larger, shared narrative.

Like the rivers that flow through our region, our stories travel alongside one another, carrying moments of hope and despair, joy and struggle, courage and growth. When we have the courage to share our stories and truly listen to the stories of others, our individual journeys begin to intertwine. We discover connections that transcend our differences and remind us of our shared humanity.

Where stories become art, art sparks connection, and connection strengthens community. When we have the courage to connect, our stories flow together like a river, creating a current of belonging that carries us all forward.
